Boutique Hotel Group owns three luxury hotels and wedding venues set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Due to internal progression within the group, we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic

Head Chef

to join our team at Nunsmere Hall.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager your main duties & responsibilities will be:



To be responsible for the smooth operation of all areas of food production and delivery. To lead by example and exhibit a hands on management style. To ensure effective control of stock purchasing, receipt, storage, preparation and service with regard to quality, quantity and safety. Commercial accountability for planning, organising and directing all operations of the kitchen Maintaining a high level of food quality and production with the aim of exceeding our guest's expectations. Ensuring the security of all foods, chemicals and equipment by maintaining procedures laid down by the Health and Safety Policy and food safety policy. Ensure that the food safety policy is kept up to date and treated as a live document. To ensure that at all times cleanliness, food safety and all other Health and Safety matters are adhered to so as not to breach any legislative points within the Food Safety Act 1990 or the Health and Safety at Work Act. Menu planning with full costing of individual dishes in line with the expected GP percentage. Determine menu changes after consultation with the Directors. Train and develop the team to deliver the highest levels of food production. Develop and maintain good working relationships with other departments Ensure special menu requests are handled appropriately Ensure the Hotel's food GP budget is achieved. Handle all recruitment requirements for the Department

The ideal candidate should have:



Relative experience working in a busy environment Excellent Management and Leadership Skills Experience of working in a high volume banqueting environment Excellent communication and organisational skills Demonstrate exemplary cooking skills, whilst adhering to brand standards and GP expectations. Restaurant experience required

Start date TBC at interview. Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in the UK in order to be considered for this position.
