We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to take over the Back of house operations for our small restaurant in Beeston. We are looking for someone that is not only able to deliver great food but also has a passion for training and developing young people in the kitchen environment.
About Us:
Tony's Bar and grill is a small independent restaurant just outside Beeston town center. We are celebrating our 1 year anniversary this month and we are keen to get someone onboard that will be able to push the venue to another level to become Beestons number 1 destination food venue.
Your Role:
Lead and inspire our kitchen team
Oversee menu development and ensure consistency in quality
Manage food preparation, presentation, and safety standards
Uphold our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef ready to step into a leadership role
Operational Kitchen Ability
Excellent organizational and team management skills
Passion for quality ingredients and innovative cooking
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations, ensuring the smooth running of food production.
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in accordance with health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Help in the preparation and cooking of dishes as needed, demonstrating culinary skills to inspire the team.
Manage kitchen budgets effectively while minimising waste.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
A creative approach to menu development with an understanding of current food trends.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food production.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 15.00-17.50 per hour
