We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while maintaining cost efficiency.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to maintain stock levels without excess waste.
Foster a positive team atmosphere, encouraging collaboration and effective communication among kitchen staff.
Stay current with culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance menu offerings.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
Previous experience in menu planning and development is highly desirable.
A solid understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory management and cost control.
