We are seeking a passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen in helping to set up, write and deliver a great quality menu in one of Abersochs most desirable locations - views that are simply stunning.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food preparation and cookery, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. You'll also be a great communicator and someone who enjoys working with others and is a natural collaborator.
As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure that our menu reflects the quality and creativity that our establishment will be known for.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and other culinary personnel.
Develop and design innovative menus that cater to our clientele while adhering to food safety regulations.
Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste are consistently met.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure efficient operations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and team management skills.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary to enhance productivity and quality.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
Requirements
Experience as a head chef or in a senior role within the kitchen
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines, comfortable working with fresh food and ingredients
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
