Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of food preparation and production. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, and managing a team of cooks to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a vibrant hospitality environment.

Duties

Supervise and lead the kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production to ensure consistency and quality. Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences. Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and optimise cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen. Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a culinary environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
