We are seeking a dedicated Head Chef to head up our culinary team At the Arnold Arms.
work under a Michelin trained owner who will offer support and training to help you lead a team of four In the kitchen.
Our gastropub has 60 covers and will operate a 100% fresh seasonal menu. With bar snacks and Sunday lunch.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As our Chef you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. also offering training to a team which you can build to your liking.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and specifications. you will have the opportunity to put your flavour and dishes on the menu
ordering of stock and monitoring GP
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use.
Experience
Previous experience as a Head chef is essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation is essential, we will train you to get food safety certification if needed.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment will be advantageous.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure is vital.
A genuine passion for cooking and providing excellent service is key.
