Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations. Supervise kitchen staff during meal preparation and cooking processes, providing guidance and support as needed. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations during service times. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of culinary techniques, trends, and best practices within the industry.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent skills in meal preparation and food presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
