We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor food quality and presentation to meet the restaurant's standards.
Assist in cooking and food preparation as needed during peak service times.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
Excellent culinary skills with experience in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Exceptional team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive work environment.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
A passion for food, creativity in menu development, and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
Need to be able to cook on a coal fire.
