Sketchydog started over 14 years ago with our first pub The Lowfield Inn in Marton. Since then we have grown to 4 pubs all located along the Shropshire/North Wales border. All of our pubs pride themselves on being great local pubs offering excellent beer,wine and food to a wide market.
The Sun Inn was our 2nd pub, opening in July 2012, and is situated in the village of Welshampton, near Ellesmere (1/2 hour from Wrexham, Shrewsbury and Oswestry).It is a cosy village pub which is very popular and has a strong local following. Summary
We are seeking a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at The Sun Inn. In this role, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that reflect our commitment to quality and hospitality. Your leadership will be key in maintaining our high standards while fostering a positive work environment.
The position would be ideal for a current Head Chef wanting a change or a keen Sous Chef looking to take the next step.
Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Develop and design innovative menus that cater to our clientele's preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills.
Manage food preparation processes while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen efficiency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
Excellent leadership abilities to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
