We have an exciting opening for the Head Chef role here at The Old Bandhouse.
We are a small team with an outstanding reputation for food and service which we are very proud of, we are looking for an individual with high standards and the talent, passion and dedication to lead our kitchen. We have a wide ranging menu so applicants will need to be proficient in preparing breakfast dishes, tapas, steaks, seafood, pastas, kebabs etc, and of course our locally famous Sunday roasts.
The position is 4.5 days per week Wed-Sun, with a minimum of 45hrs, and weekends being essential.
The position will primarily involve:
-Leading and inspiring the kitchen team to strive for excellence
-Innovate and design menus to adapt to demand
-Maintain the highest culinary standards in food preparation, presentation and hygiene
-Collaborate constantly with Manager and Sous chef
-Manage inventory, stock ordering and kitchen budgeting efficiently
-Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistent output to the restaurant
-Ensure compliance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations at all times
Applicants must have proven experience in senior roles of fine dining or equivalent, a sincere passion for gastronomy, creativity and possess a refined culinary style. They must have a solid understanding of what is required to operate every aspect of the kitchen and be able to lead and inspire the whole team.
