We are seeking a talented, ambitious, and hands-on
Head Chef
to lead our kitchen and play a key role in the hotel's senior management team.

Caer Rhun Hall
is a beautifully restored country house hotel with over 30 elegant bedrooms, stylish bar and lounge areas, a contemporary restaurant, and expansive conference and banqueting spaces.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire
the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food across all areas: Brasserie, Lounge & Bar, Room Service, Private Dining, Weddings and Events.
Develop innovative, seasonal menus
that highlight Welsh ingredients and exceed guest expectations.
Ensure the
highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
are maintained.
Maintain a safe, clean and legally compliant kitchen environment at all times.
Control kitchen costs
, including wage management, stock control, food purchasing, and GP targets.
Recruit, train, and develop the team to build a positive and high-performing kitchen culture.
Collaborate with the senior management team to drive the hotel's overall success.
About You
A
natural leader
with experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a high-quality hotel or hospitality environment.
A genuine passion for
local, seasonal cooking
and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Strong knowledge of
food safety, hygiene standards
, and legislative compliance.
Commercially savvy with a clear understanding of
cost control, menu planning, and gross profit management
.
Highly organised and calm under pressure, with strong team and communication skills.
Flexible and committed to working evenings, weekends and across busy event periods.
