We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency with restaurant standards
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure dishes meet quality and safety standards
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise kitchen efficiency
Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices across all kitchen activities
Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety legislation
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Strong background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of staff
Proficient in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards
Extensive kitchen experience with a thorough understanding of food safety regulations
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings demonstrating excellent customer service skills
Ability to serve as a role model for professionalism, organisation, and attention to detail
Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative menu development techniques
