Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Plan and develop innovative menus that meet customer preferences and uphold the establishment's standards
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food safety and hygiene practices
Monitor staff performance, provide training, and support professional development initiatives
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cost control measures while delivering exceptional culinary experiences
Requirements
Proven supervisory experience within a busy kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Demonstrated team management abilities with effective leadership qualities
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong understanding of restaurant operations and customer service principles
Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential
