We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef For a newly opening Mediterranean fusion restaurant, The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise including working with a charcoal grille. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and management to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and service are maintained consistently.
Responsibilities
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established standards
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster professional development and teamwork
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety legislation
Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance overall dining experience
Requirements
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings is essential
Skilled in cooking techniques across various cuisines with a focus on quality presentation
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
