Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation meet brand standards
Develop and implement creative menus that appeal to diverse customer preferences
Manage food safety protocols in accordance with local regulations and best practices
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Monitor stock levels and control food costs through efficient inventory management
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety standards, and service procedures
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
Maintain high standards of hospitality by ensuring excellent serving experiences for guests
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on food production and service
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and suppliers effectively
Creative flair for menu development coupled with a keen eye for detail in food presentation
Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
