We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. You will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen management, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and service. This is a hands-on role in a busy pub/restaurant environment.
Key responsibilities:
Create and update seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Train, motivate and manage the kitchen team, to deliver consistent high-quality dishes
Oversee preparation and presentation of all dishes ensuring timely service during busy periods
Manage inventory, order supplies and control food costs to meet budget targets
Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene and health regulations (HACCP standards)
Organize repairs and maintain kitchen equipment
Handle rota's, staff performance and recruitment, where necessary
Work closely with front-of-house to ensure an excellent dining experience
Requirements:
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Creativity and passion for traditional British cuisine
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role within a pub or restaurant
