We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety standards, and maintaining a positive team environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff supervision, and maintaining high standards of hospitality within our establishment.
Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation
Develop innovative menus that align with current trends and customer preferences
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in presentation and taste
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and professional growth
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Monitor inventory levels, minimise waste, and control food costs effectively
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health regulations
Assist in serving customers during peak times to uphold excellent service standards
Collaborate with management on strategic planning for restaurant operations
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive food production knowledge across various cuisines and techniques
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Demonstrable experience in food preparation, cooking, and presentation at a high standard
Previous kitchen experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is essential
Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Experience in restaurant management or leadership roles within the hospitality industry is highly desirable
Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous
