We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our Kitchen team.
The Cock & Lion offers a branded gastropub menu.
Weekly net sales are between 2k and 3.5K
The Kitchen is open daily 12-9
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations.
Duties
Lead and manage the small kitchen team,
Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations, Conducting monthly stock takes as needed.
Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proven experience in supervising a kitchen team in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Proficient in food preparation techniques and production methods.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
