We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality
Develop innovative menus that align with current trends and customer preferences
Manage food production, ensuring all dishes meet safety and hygiene standards
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members in culinary techniques and safety procedures
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and culinary excellence
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Food production and culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Previous restaurant experience is essential, preferably in high-volume establishments
Strong understanding of hospitality operations including serving procedures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Passionate about culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development
Good communication skills and ability to motivate team members effectively
