Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety standards, and fostering a positive team environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff management, and maintaining high standards of hospitality within our establishment.

Duties



Supervise and manage the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure efficient daily operations. Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and presented attractively. Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise operational efficiency. Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and safety procedures to uphold a safe working environment. Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality experiences through attentive serving and personalised customer interactions.

Experience



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Extensive food production experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Demonstrated team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members. Solid background in food safety standards and regulatory compliance. Prior restaurant experience is essential; familiarity with various cuisines is advantageous. Experience in menu development, culinary innovation, and managing high-volume service environments. Knowledge of hospitality principles including serving techniques and guest relations is desirable. Pay: 32,000.00-35,000.00 per year
