Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory effectively.
Monitor food preparation processes to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
Manage kitchen budgets, including food costs and labour expenses, while maximising profitability.
Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting.
Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
Extensive culinary experience with a deep understanding of various cooking methods and cuisines.
Knowledge of hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
Exceptional leadership qualities to drive performance and maintain high morale within the team.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing an ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
