Border Control- Part of Tyro Group

is a professional business who provide expert advice and service to the commercial and domestic market. We specialise in bird management, flying birds of prey in a controlled environment, which deters nesting birds. You will be required and fully trained to deal with all pest issues

We are seeking a qualified/experienced Falconer with pest control experience, to join our team. You will be responsible for the care, training and management of birds of prey.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants a change of direction, or someone who already enjoys Falconry.

Key responsibilities include:

Bird care

Feeding, weighing, cleaning aviaries and providing basic medical care

Training

Developing the birds of prey and teaching them to work in the pest control environment

Record keeping

Maintaining detailed records of bird health, telemetry and other relevant information

Facility management

Ensure the Falconry centre is well maintained and meets safety standards

Team management

oversee other falconers and staff

Skills and knowledge:

Expertise in Birds of Prey

Understand raptor health and handling techniques

Training skills

Proficiency in using positive reinforcement methods to train birds

Communication skills

strong verbal communication skills and ability to engage with public

Organisation skills

manage schedules and records. Be able to plan and prioritise workload

It is vital that you have a clean full UK driving license, have been driving for more than 5 years and Health & Safety training with certificates.

You will also:

Be comfortable working outdoors and indoors in confined spaces and at height Have previous pest elimination industry or field service experience

Job Types:

Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Pay

: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year

Additional pay: Commission pay- Tips -Yearly bonus

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability
