The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting for a Head Greenkeeper on behalf of Forbes of Kingennie - a stunning resort destination nestled in the heart of Angus.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Greenkeeper to take responsibility for the overall maintenance, presentation, and continuous improvement of the Kingennie Golf Course, practice facilities, putting green, and resort grounds.

This is a key leadership position that ensures all playing surfaces are consistently prepared to the highest possible standard, delivering an exceptional golfing experience for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course, practice areas, and resort grounds. Oversee turf care practices, including mowing, aeration, overseeding, irrigation, and bunker maintenance. Manage, train, and develop the greenkeeping team, ensuring performance, welfare, and professional growth. Oversee budgets, stock, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient operations and best value. Drive long-term course development, environmental sustainability, and improvement projects. Plan and deliver seasonal and annual maintenance programmes, adapting to weather and play demands. Work closely with senior management to enhance Forbes of Kingennie's reputation as a premier golf destination. Act as a visible leader and ambassador, combining technical turf expertise with strong communication and customer service skills

What We Are Looking For:

Previous Greenkeeping experience Full, clean driving licence NVQ Level 3 or the equivalent in Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Management PA1, PA2 and PA6 Spraying Certificates (desirable) Good working knowledge of golf course operations & a thorough knowledge of the game of golf Knowledge of budget management and cost control, with the ability to deliver on financial objectives. Excellent Communication Skills Excellent Organisational Skills
