Job Overview

As Head Greenkeeper, you'll oversee a wider team in the maintenance, development, and daily preparation of the course. This is a hands-on role that includes mowing, bunker work, irrigation, machinery use, and general course maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine golf course maintenance duties to a high standard Operate a wide range of turf care equipment and machinery safely Assist in course preparation for competitions and events Under take renovations and project work as required Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

Skills

Previous experience in greenkeeping or turf maintenance NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or working toward (desirable) PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates (advantageous) Chainsaw certificate (advantageous) Good timekeeping, reliability, and a strong work ethic Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends Proficient in landscape maintenance techniques and practices. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance requirements.
