I'm working exclusively with a highly respected and long-established law firm in Tameside, which is looking to appoint a Head of Private Family Law to lead and develop their busy and growing family team.
This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service and looking to take the next step in their leadership career within a supportive and progressive firm. The team already has a strong pipeline of work, so you'll be stepping into a well-established caseload with real scope to shape the department's future.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading the Private Family Law department, overseeing a team of solicitors and support staff
Managing a caseload of complex private family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, private children disputes, cohabitation matters, and pre/post-nuptial agreements
Acting as the key point of contact for high-net-worth and longstanding clients
Driving departmental growth through client development and strategic planning
Supervising junior fee earners and contributing to their ongoing development and training
Supporting compliance with regulatory frameworks including Lexcel and SRA standards
What We're Looking For:
A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 6 years PQE in private family law
Experience handling a broad range of complex family law cases, ideally including HNW matters
Proven ability to lead or supervise a team - this could suit an existing Head of Department or a confident Senior Associate ready to step up
Strong business development and client relationship management skills
A commercial and strategic mindset with a genuine commitment to supporting clients through sensitive and life-changing situations
Panel accreditation or Resolution membership would be advantageous, but not essential
