For almost two decades, Rapid Retail has supported clients across the UK and Europe with modular retail solutions, ranging from major international sports brands and stadiums to smaller clubs, retailers, visitor attractions, and entertainment venues. We pride ourselves on our experience as retail specialists, supplying a range of bespoke pop-up shops, mobile kiosks, and other retail solutions to the world's most prominent brands, from Adidas to O2.

The perfect candidate will bring proven experience in a comparable role within the modular industry, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and outstanding communication skills, both within the company and with external partners. As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of installations and removals of our modular buildings. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in lean manufacturing, operational leadership, and team development within the modular construction or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational strategies that align with business goals and support growth in modular construction projects across multiple regions.

Manage day-to-day operations of factory production, ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and safety are met or exceeded.

Oversee procurement, vendor management, inventory control, and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and modules.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, maintaining clear communication across departments and with clients.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, automation, and workflow optimisation to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practices. Lead a culture of Health and Safety by taking full responsibility for ensuring safe working and consideration for health and wellbeing of all colleagues, customers, and suppliers at all times.

Anticipate, identify, understand and mitigate against risks.

Lead the implementation, communication and realisation of the Rapid Retail Limited business strategy through operational plans, forecasts, and budgets for area of remit. Drive the effective use of fleet, materials, labour, and sub-contractors associated with the refurbishment, capitalised fit out and installation of products and/or services so that agreed budget levels, variations and margins are achieved.

Qualifications & Experience:



5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, ideally in modular construction, prefabrication, or manufacturing.

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, and supply chain logistics.

Proven track record of delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced, scaling environment

Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills and the ability to motivate others, meet deadlines work in a logical, systematic manner, with a result driven mentality.

Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices in modular/offsite construction

The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers, and clients.

Strong negotiation skills for getting materials within budget at the right time.

The ability to work under pressure, problem solve and multitask.

Benefits:



Remuneration: 42,000 - 46,000.00 pa (opportunity to progress)

Working Hours: Flexible working hours some weekend work will be required.

Pension.

25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
