Role Summary:



We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join Nidec Drives as a Head Office Administrator.

The successful candidate will have a proactive and professional approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

The Head Office Administrator role will be far from one?dimensional, covering a wide range of administrative responsibilities alongside reception?based duties. Positioned at the front desk as the first point of contact, the role involves greeting guests and customers, establishing rapport, and ensuring all visitors receive a welcoming and professional experience upon arrival.

Key Job Responsibilities:



The responsibilities of the Head Office Administrator consist of, but are not limited to:

Meet and greet all visitors, ensuring the Health & Safety induction video is shown. Welcome and check in contractors, ensuring the correct passes and H&S documentation are completed. Support customer visits by providing necessary PPE and assisting with refreshments and lunches. Book and coordinate meeting rooms. Ensure the Reception, Back Office, and Canteen areas are kept clean, tidy, and presentable daily. Maintain stock levels and top up all supplies in the canteen. Order catering and general office supplies as required. Raise Purchase Orders and receipt deliveries upon arrival. Raise IT support tickets as needed. Raise Ars Provide administrative support to the R&D team (including ICNs, licences, and associated documentation). Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases to support various office functions. Issue Eye Test Vouchers to employees. Create and manage access cards for staff and visitors. Distribute incoming and outgoing post. Provide reception cover at the Gro site when required. Answer and direct phone calls promptly and professionally. Manage the Pool Car and Co. van, including bookings and documentation.

Travel Requirements:



This role is based in Newtown, split over both sites (The Gro and U79) on a full-time basis.

(Possible travel may be expected to various Nidec locations and suppliers)

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:



Proven experience relevant to the role Business Administration Qualification (Preferred) Ability to follow established work routines and standards consistently. Demonstrates initiative, determination, and professionalism in all aspects of the role. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Competent in using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) High attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and ensure accuracy in all work produced.
