We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to join our dynamic team. As the Head Server, you will oversee the serving staff, ensuring that all guests receive high-quality service while maintaining food safety and preparation standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the serving team, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Oversee daily operations of the dining area, ensuring cleanliness and organisation. Train new staff members on serving techniques, food safety protocols, and restaurant policies. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation. Manage guest interactions, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally. Implement upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and specials to provide accurate information to guests. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment. Assist in scheduling shifts for serving staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.

Requirements

Proven experience in a restaurant setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and practices. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tips. Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous. Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
