Lymington Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)

, where we provide high-quality care for patients with minor injuries and illnesses.



As part of our GP-led, multi-disciplinary team, you'll play a key role in supporting clinicians and ensuring the smooth running of the department. No two days are the same - you'll be involved in direct patient care, emergency support, and helping to keep our service running efficiently.

Hours:

24 hours contracted, 2 x 12-hour shifts per week, including some weekends and Bank Holidays ( rota dependant ) 8am -9pm

What you'll be doing:

Supporting clinicians with wound care, burns management, plaster application, and dressings.
Taking clinical observations, recording ECGs, and monitoring patients of all ages.
Assisting with emergency care (CPR, anaphylaxis management, defibrillation - within your scope).
Performing venepuncture and cannulation (following training and competency).
Maintaining infection control standards and a safe, clean department.
Helping with stock control, ordering, and departmental organisation.
Providing excellent communication and reassurance to patients and carers.
Supporting reception during busy times, including patient registration.

About you:

Essential:

GCSE/O Level English (or equivalent).
NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare / Care Certificate (or equivalent knowledge through practice).
At least 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a UTC, GP surgery, or emergency department.
Skills in wound care, dressings, plastering, ECGs, or venepuncture.
