A new and exciting role.

Helpdesk Lead and Operational Admin Officer (G6)

Location: The role is based at our Luton Campus but may involve travel to Bedford Campus from time to time.

This dynamic role is right at the heart of E&F\xe2\x80\x99s daily customer deliver and has a direct impact on our Student and Staff Experience, and safety. The successful candidate will be dealing directly with our operational customers through our helpdesk portal and will be required to interface both by email and by phone to resolve a local repair, room set up, cleaning or other query or request they may have.

With support from the existing team, you will need to quickly gain a good understanding of our main campuses, typical types of repair or other requests we receive and how to handle and prioritise Helpdesk requests according to both our internal service levels and using good judgement and understanding of our customers. Tact and diplomacy are also required, for instance if the request is either outside out responsibility or has been made at very short notice.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical \xe2\x80\x98self-starter\xe2\x80\x99 with strong customer skills who is happy to liaise with multiple departments across the University. The successful candidate will be using our CAFM system to manage helpdesk requests and ensure jobs are followed through to completion and to ensure effective maintenance of records and producing required reports to the wider management team.

The role also carries the responsibility for ensuring efficient general estates administration, again initially supported by the existing team as you learn, adopt and look to improve our existing processes, working with colleagues across the team.

The role is based at our Luton Campus but may involve travel to Bedford Campus from time to time.
