Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yardman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the yard's organisation and efficiency, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly managed. This position requires a proactive approach to yard operations, with an emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Operate and manoeuvre HGV1 &2 vehicles within the yard safely and efficiently. Assist in making sure vehicles are parked properly on site Ensure that all equipment is stored correctly and in an orderly fashion. Conduct regular inspections of yard equipment and report any maintenance needs. Collaborate with delivery drivers to facilitate smooth operations during loading and unloading processes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard area to promote safety and efficiency. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing duties.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence is required for operating HGV vehicles. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong understanding of yard operations and logistics is preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and drivers effectively. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and organisation within the yard environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
