The Role



We are a large, multicultural and multi faith Church of England Primary Academy in Easton, within the city of Bristol and are part of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to be part of a friendly, talented team who are dedicated to improving outcomes for children in a school with a friendly and supportive ethos. You would be part of a team who are committed to supporting pupils and families to achieve their true potential in one of Bristol's most vibrant and exciting communities. The role will involve covering PPA with sports lessons and supporting the pastoral team.

You will need to be a strong communicator, good team player and interested in innovative approaches to learning and teaching.

The successful candidate will have:

Experience of planning and delivering sports lessons. Have a good knowledge around behaviour and have an understanding of SEMH and SEN needs. Uncompromisingly high expectations of themselves and all children and be able to engage children in fun and interesting ways Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding Understanding of the behavioural needs of children with ASC and how to adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs Strong interpersonal skills A positive 'can do' attitude and nurturing nature


Hold Level 2 qualifications as a minimum.
