We're currently seeking Higher-Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) who can confidently take full class cover and bring energy, adaptability, and innovation to the classroom.

GB Recruitment are currently getting requests for experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) with a strong background in supporting learning in Upper Key Stage 2. The ideal candidates will have prior experience working as an HLTA and hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher.

What We're Looking For:

Have previous experience working as an HLTA, particularly with children in Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2; Demonstrate a secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and the high expectations for pupils at the end of the key stage; Have experience supporting the administration of assessments, including end-of-key-stage tests such as Year 6 SATs would be advantageous Be confident in delivering small-group interventions based on plans provided by the class teacher; Be able to support pupils in making accelerated progress by identifying next steps and providing appropriate challenges; Have excellent organisational skills and be well-prepared for all responsibilities; Use effective classroom and behaviour management strategies rooted in positive, respectful relationships; Be confident covering PPA and leadership time within the upper Key Stage 2 team, maintaining a high standard of teaching and learning. Be able to travel within the Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire areas.
