Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

The Role - What You'll Do

As a key member of the teaching and learning team, you will:


Lead

whole?class cover

when teachers are absent or in PPA Deliver small?group and 1:1 intervention sessions Support pupils with

SEN needs

, helping them access learning confidently Work alongside class teachers to plan and implement engaging activities Help maintain a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment Provide pastoral support, encouragement and consistency throughout the day
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a varied week, loves leading learning and can think on their feet.


What We're Looking For

You'll be a great fit if you have:


Experience working as an HLTA or an advanced TA ready for the next step Strong classroom management and confidence leading whole-class learning Experience supporting SEN pupils or running interventions Great communication, organisation and a proactive attitude A calm, positive approach and genuine passion for primary education Reliability, teamwork and the ability to adapt quickly
