THE HEDGES HOTEL - DUTY MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced duty manager to join our team to help develop and drive sales within both the hotel and food service areas. The ideal candidate would be someone who can remain calm under pressure, be very hands-on and can assist in leading and motivating the team.

Job Overview



As a Duty Manager at our hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities and providing exceptional guest service. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a strong background in hospitality and leadership to join our team.

Duties


- Supervising and coordinating hotel operations to ensure efficiency
- Overseeing guest services and resolving any issues promptly
- Managing staff schedules and providing guidance to team members
- Handling human resources tasks such as recruitment and training
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with administrative duties as needed

As Duty Manager your daily tasks will involve ...

Taking lead on various shifts Sales projections and forecasting staff rotas Developing revenue and outlining areas for increasing profitability
Train, lead and develop staff

Carryout all company policies and procedures Organise operations for the day/week ahead You must be fully flexible to work daytime, evening, and weekends on a rota basis. If you possess the above skills and experience, then we'd love to hear from you.

Experience


- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is essential (atleast 2yrs)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of human resources practices is desirable for managing staff effectively.

Knowledge and understanding of food, beverages, cocktails and wine.

Excellent communication.
