We are currently recruiting Duty Managers for our flagship venue, Gailes Hotel & Spa in Irvine

About YOU:



We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in all aspects ofhotel operations preferred, including F&B, C&B and House-keeping. This is a hands on role in the day to day running of the hotel, which will include carrying out management duties, leading and developing a team and maximising sales to achieve set targets. The candidate must have a passion for providing excellent service and lead by example to ensure all of the team work together to consistently achieve this. The Duty Manager is focussed on maximising the efficiency of the business, controlling labour, stock, team training and other KPIs.

Job description



Ensure the smooth running of an effective and efficient team, through management of team training and scheduling of their rotas Help alongside the General / Operations manager, carrying out team training and development Work closely with the operations manager and head chef to ensure quality of food and service is delivered at all times Support the Head House-Keeper in ensuring cleanliness standards throughout the hotel are at a high standard Help with team recruitment Help manage health and safety and food hygiene, ensuring there is strict compliance with all legislation .Ensure that the highest standards of guest care are achieved at all times. By offering a friendly, efficient, informal yet highly professional service. Meeting and greeting guests, dealing with guests complaints and comments

Skills & Qualifications



Minimum two years' management experience in a hospitality environment Bar, restaurant & C&B experience preferred Ability to display excellent customer care skills whilst working under pressure Proven people management, coaching and team building skills Good understanding of health and safety legislation Good financial awareness with a full understanding of food and beverage revenue streams and controls, including POS familiarity Problem solving and conflict resolution Holds a Personal License
