AxiaFunder is a growing litigation funding business with a focus on HDR in the UK.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Housing Disrepair Claims Reviewer. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing pre and post-litigated claims, ensuring compliance with relevant legal standards, adherence to internal criteria and providing accurate and timely assessments of portfolio progression.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and assess the ongoing progression of housing disrepair claims submitted by tenants or their representatives. Examine evidence including inspection reports, repair histories, tenancy agreements and case correspondence. Identify flagged claims, ensure timely resolution or escalation of identified issues. Maintain accurate records of all claims reviewed, decisions made, and correspondence. Keep up-to-date with housing legislation and guidance relevant to disrepair claims.

Desirable but Optional Requirements:

Previous experience with housing disrepair claims or a similar legal background is highly desirable. Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and decision-making. A proactive approach to managing caseloads, with strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Familiarity with relevant UK housing legislation (e.g. Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions Claims (England). Ability to manage multiple cases and work to deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
