BAM UK&I are recruiting an HR Admin Assistant to join the HR team in our Hemel Hempstead office on a 3 month Fixed Term contract. This role will involve a mixture of working from home and from our offices in Hemel Hempstead. BAM operates a flexible working policy.
Your mission
Responsible for the data upkeep & filing within the department, you will play an important role in our central HR Administration team.
Primarily you will focus on:
Ownership of filing and clearing any backlog into our online filing system
Ownership of the absence tasks on the HR and Time Management system, processing unpaid leave requests and produce absence related letters
Ownership of the First Aid process
Making sure all systems are updated accurately per month
Assisting with address changes
Assisting with Early Careers offer stages and onboarding.
Assisting with processing new starters, leavers and transfers in the HR system (SuccessFactors)
Assisting with employment references
Providing information to payroll in a timely manner
There may also be an opportunity to assist with the below tasks
Assisting with processing new starters, leavers and transfers in the HR system (SuccessFactors)
Assisting with completing administrative tasks associated with maternity, paternity, shared parental and adoption leave
Supporting with eyecare voucher generation
Checking new starters have completed pre-placement medical questionnaire
Assisting the team with system data analysis and actioning any inconsistencies
Support with large administrative exercises and mail merge activity throughout the year if required
Other general HR admin tasks
Who are we looking for?
Previous experience in an HR Admin Administration/Administration role preferred but not essential
Good organisation and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail in your work
A willingness to take on additional responsibility when required and be looking to develop your career in a HR/Administration environment
