We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations within the department. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Deal with all admin aspects of recruitment and on boarding staff into the setting and onto the EY Manage System. Ensure the correct documents are obtained and all relevant information has been entered onto the system accurately.
Keep the Staff Central Record up to date.
Manage all aspects ordering and stock control for all nursery supplies ranging from food, uniforms, resources and cleaning products. All levels should be monitored to avoid any issues with missing items.
Ensure website is maintained and is current and the Nursery has visibility on social media platforms. Posting nursery fundraising and events alongside important information for parent of children in the early years.
Greet and welcome visitors as soon as they arrive at the Nursery. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk. Answer telephone calls and forward to the appropriate person.
Areas of Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the reception area, answering calls and, opening door and welcoming visitors ensuring that security measures are followed.
Responsible for the planning, preparation and ordering of all items for the nursery calendar events, including team building, fund raising and sourcing external agencies to participate in events.
Manage the recruiting and on boarding, ensuring that new staff complete and return paperwork in a timely fashion, contact references, check ID, CV, email offer letter, register for DBS, produce a contract and complete all checks as per safer recruitment. Including outgoing references.
Manage all aspects of the website and social media presence using imagination and flare to keep the nursery visible to the parents and public to maintain high standards of reputation.
Undertake professional show rounds of prospective new parents.
Manage staff annual leave requests to ensure staffing requirements are met.
Monitor staff sickness, unauthorised absence and staff turnover reporting findings and proposals for implementation to Operations Manager.

Finance and Administration
Ordering all stock items and nursery supplies, including uniforms, food, cleaning supplies and resources ensuring that we achieve a competitive prices and timely deliveries.
Producing monthly newsletters for parents and staff, updating notice boards, menus, milk numbers and any general admin duties eg leavers questionnaires.
Review DBS and ensure all staff remain on the live register and complete the annual mandatory training for practitioners.
HR admin duties including lateness reports, sickness, annual leave entitlements and keep staff profiles up to date, monitor mandatory training for all staff.
Training and Development
Be professional, polite and positive in all verbal and non-verbal interactions with staff, parents and children at all times.
To contribute to the team effort of the nursery and to attend staff meetings and social events as and when required.
Commitment to undertaking appropriate training and continued professional development. To undertake future and refresher training as appropriate.
Health & Safety
To ensure that the highest standards of health and safety apply to both children, staff, parents and visitor, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Ensure that DBS live remains current and hold current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
To ensure that equipment and resources used are of suitable design and condition, well maintained and conform to safety standards and that it is used for the purpose in which it was designed.
To ensure that the physical environment of the nursery is maintained to comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
Conditions of Employment
This is not intended to be a complete inventory of all the activities the jobholder would be expected to undertake. The post holder is required to comply with all the nursery's policies and procedures and to meet his/her responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act. This will be subject to review and change in light of future developments. The post holder will be actively involved in the review with the Operations Manager.
