HR Advisor




Do you have experience providing HR advice and support to new and experienced managers? Are you passionate about driving organisational success through HR initiatives and support? We're seeking a HR Advisor who is engaging and a good communicator to work in a varied environment with managers across a range of operational teams. This role will cover 2 operational sites in Greenock and at King George V Dock.

Your role




In this role you will work closely with operational leaders to understand their challenges and priorities and provide advice and guidance in line with HR policies and procedures to support them. You will provide expert advice on employee relations, change management and performance management, building strong working relationships with Trade Unions and employee representatives.



You will support effective workforce planning using data and insights to support decision making, proactively helping managers to manage sickness absence, ill health capability issues and promoting health and wellbeing within their teams. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to wider HR strategies and projects.

What you'll bring




You will have experience in providing HR advice, ideally in a large scale industrial/manufacturing environment, and be able to operate autonomously and prioritise effectively. You will have experience using HR Information Systems, including accessing, inputting and compiling data and insights. You will have up to date knowledge of current legislation, exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage and influence a diverse employee group, with experience in communicating with varied stakeholders, including Unions and employee representatives.
