I'm working with a great London-based client who are looking for an
HR Advisor
to join their team and play a key role in delivering a positive employee experience, supporting HR operations, and driving people initiatives that shape our culture and performance. This role would report to the HR Director and would be part of a small support function.
About the Role
As HR Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for HR queries, providing trusted advice and support to employees and managers. You'll manage core HR processes, maintain accurate data, and help deliver a seamless employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. You'll also have the opportunity to lead on HR projects and initiatives, with coaching and support from the HR Director.
Job Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Administration
Draft and issue employment offers and contracts, manage onboarding, references, and background checks.
Maintain HR systems and records, ensuring GDPR compliance and data accuracy.
Manage the HR inbox, responding to queries and escalating complex issues as needed.
Administer payroll and benefits processes, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely updates.
Oversee the leaver process, including exit interviews and payroll adjustments.
HR Reporting & Compliance
Generate insightful HR reports from HRIS data to support decision-making.
Maintain and update HR policies to ensure legal compliance and reflect best practice.
Support the performance review process and maintain the company training plan.
Employee Support & Engagement
Provide first-line HR advice and coaching to managers and employees.
Support recruitment campaigns, liaise with agencies, and ensure a great candidate experience.
Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, benefits enhancements, and internal events.
Manage the monthly Sales Commission Scheme and support ad-hoc HR projects.
Facilities & Wellbeing
Support the smooth running of the office, including facilities and health & safety responsibilities.
Help foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging workplace environment.
Ideal Candidate
Good experience in HR administration and advisory roles.
Good understanding of HR processes, payroll, and employment legislation.
CIPD qualified or working towards it (desirable).
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work at pace.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative in a fast-moving environment.
A natural problem-solver who enjoys simplifying processes and removing barriers.
Self-sufficient and proactive--you spot opportunities to add value and act on them.
Collaborative and approachable, with a professional and credible demeanour.
