Job Responsibilities:
As a
People Advisor
, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our people and leaders across the firm. You'll be the go-to expert for day-to-day HR matters, helping to shape a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture. Your responsibilities will include:
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
Delivering consistent, practical, and legally sound HR advice to employees and managers.
Supporting informal and formal employee relations cases, including performance, absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
Acting as a mediator to resolve workplace conflicts and promote a healthy, collaborative environment.
Identifying and mitigating risks early, escalating complex issues to senior colleagues when needed.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Collaborating with the People Operations Insights Analyst to interpret HR data and trends.
Using insights to inform decision-making, improve processes, and enhance the employee experience.
Policy & Process Development
Supporting the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practices.
Working with internal and external experts to ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies.
Strategic Projects & Leadership Support
Partnering with the Senior People Business Partner to deliver people strategies aligned with business goals.
Supporting change initiatives and people-related projects across the firm.
Upskilling leaders and managers in people practices, helping them grow their confidence and capability.
Culture & Values
Championing the company's values and behaviours in everything you do.
Acting as a trusted advisor and role model for inclusive, respectful, and values-led leadership.
Ideal Candidate:
I'm looking for someone who is not only technically strong in HR but also people-focused, empathetic, and solutions-oriented. You'll thrive in this role if you have:
Solid HR experience
in a generalist or advisory role, ideally within a professional services or multi-site environment.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law
and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills
- you're approachable, a great listener, and able to build trust quickly.
Conflict resolution and mediation skills
- you can navigate sensitive conversations with care and confidence.
Analytical mindset
- you're comfortable working with data and using insights to drive improvements.
Strong communication skills
- both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
Proactive and organised
- you manage your time well and can juggle multiple priorities.
CIPD qualification
(or working towards it) is desirable but not essential.
