Responsibilities:
As HR Advisor, you will report to the Director of Human Resources and play a key role in delivering a professional, efficient, and people-focused HR service. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Daily support to staff and the HR team on all HR matters
  • Providing guidance on disciplinary, grievance, absence, and parental rights issues
  • Monitoring and reporting on HR data (e.g., turnover, absence, engagement)
  • Managing recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Leading or supporting ER cases including disciplinaries and grievances
  • Supporting performance management, appraisals, and development plans
  • Ensuring GDPR compliance within HR processes
  • Administering payroll and pensions
  • Supporting learning and development initiatives including workshops
  • Championing equality, inclusion, and mental health support initiatives
  • Keeping up to date with employment legislation and best practices
Requirements:
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR position
  • Experience dealing with payroll
  • TUPE and redundancy experience
  • Disciplinary and grievance handling
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR policies
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to interpret legislation and internal policies
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Familiarity with HR systems and report building
