Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a difference in education? Inspiration Trust is seeking a dynamic HR Advisor to join our Central Services team, providing vital HR support across our family of academies.
As an HR Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality HR services and supporting managers across multiple academies throughout Norfolk and north Suffolk. The role involves regular travel to academies, in-person working at our central offices in Norwich, and some flexibility for home working. From employee relations and policy implementation to data analysis and safeguarding compliance, you'll ensure best practice and people-focused solutions are at the heart of everything we do.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident working independently and collaboratively within a supportive HR team.
What You'll Do
Working closely with Academies provide proactive, practical HR advice to school leaders and line managers assisting them to understand and implement policies and procedures;
Support casework on disciplinary, grievance, and capability issues;
Lead on the implementation of HR policies and training sessions;
Manage data, dashboards, and payroll changes accurately and in line with GDPR;
Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance, safeguarding and health and safety;
Promote equality, wellbeing, and best practice across all HR functions;
Contribute to strategic workforce planning and change management projects;
Help maintain safeguarding compliance, including DBS and Single Central Record accuracy.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards with relevant experience)
At least 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a school environment
Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice
Confident with employee relations, training delivery, and HR systems
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
Experience in the education sector
Familiarity with iTrent HR system
Knowledge of teacher's pay and conditions
