: High Wycombe with occasional travel to Harlington (Academy Training Ground)

Hours

: Full-Time (including occasional evening/weekend work on matchdays)

Contract Type

: Fixed-Term Apprenticeship (typically 16 months) with the possibility of a permanent role at the end of the Apprenticeship

Role Overview



As an HR Apprentice, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the club's HR function -- working with departments across football operations, academy, commercial, and stadium teams. You'll gain hands-on HR experience while studying toward your CIPD qualification.

Key Responsibilities



Support the administration of the employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, changes, and leavers. Assist with maintaining accurate HR records. Help with recruitment processes: posting jobs, screening CVs, coordinating interviews. Prepare offer letters, contracts, and induction packs for new staff. Support safeguarding and compliance processes (e.g., DBS checks, training records). Update HR systems and databases (e.g. absence tracking, holiday records). Assist with payroll processing. Respond to routine HR queries. Participate in HR projects, including wellbeing, equality, diversity & inclusion, and training initiatives.

Person Specification



Essential:



Strong interest in starting a career in Human Resources. Enthusiastic and proactive with excellent organisational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above). Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Willingness to work flexibly, including some evenings/weekends.

Desirable:



Experience in an admin or customer service role.
