Are you ready to kickstart your HR career in a dynamic, fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment? We're looking for a driven and enthusiastic HR Apprentice to join our Swindon-based team, supporting both our Swindon and Dartford facilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle--from employee relations and engagement to data analysis and HR operations--while working toward a Level 5 professional HR qualification.
This Apprenticeship is a 2-year FTC.
The Role:
Collaborate with line managers on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, performance reviews, and appeals
Support day-to-day HR operations in Workday, including employee changes, audits, onboarding, and reward cycles
Help develop and consistently apply ER policies and procedures across the business
Assess risks in ER cases and ensure compliance with employment law and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards
Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across operations, quality, and support functions
Work with the HR Assistant and HR Manager to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement
Contribute to initiatives around employee engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, and cultural transformation
Assist with HR projects related to organisational change, talent development, and operational efficiency
Participate in structured learning sessions as part of your Level 5 apprenticeship
Engage in internal and external development opportunities, including CIPD sessions
The Candidate:
Previous experience in HR administration or assistant roles, with exposure to ER casework and engagement activities
A genuine interest in employee relations and HR within a manufacturing setting (preferred)
Ability to assess risks and propose solutions in a regulated environment
Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups
Proficiency in Excel and ideally experience with Workday
Analytical mindset with confidence in interpreting workforce data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
