HR Business Partner - IT and Finance

Location: Buckinghamshire

Salary: \xc2\xa355-65,000 + bonus + benefits

Our Client is a market leading global retail brand and is seeking an exceptional Senior People Partner to work collaboratively with their IT and Finance leaders and population to shape the future in this space. As an integral business leader you will develop the future of work in these functions and work on both transformation and programmes.

The role:

  • Provides a proactive, commercial and strategic partnership with the Senior Leadership team of the Finance & IT business area to shape and embed the people plan including organisation change activity, talent management and succession.
  • Inputs, contributes & leads business projects from a people perspective to deliver targets and drive performance to deliver great business outcomes.
  • Ensures all key tactical and strategic HR initiatives and interventions are fully supported, well planned and have successful outcomes within business teams.
  • Work with main senior stakeholder (director) to define people priorities that align with their short term, medium term and long-term functional business plans
  • Provide business insight to HR and HR insight to the business to support the determination of required interventions to optimise the working environment & meet business objectives.
  • Proactively lead the HR agenda within dedicated business areas, making sure the objectives & priorities of the people plan are understood and on track.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence to shape the People Plan and embed the delivery successfully to dedicated business areas.
  • Work with wider HR team to understand current and emerging policy and statutory requirements. Coach and support senior leaders to manage informal and formal people related issues to successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with the recruitment team to attract, hire and retain diverse business teams with the right capability, creativity and leadership.
  • Coach senior leaders on operational HR policy and latest trends/insights into practice through constructive challenge and objective feedback
  • Enable line managers to own the day-to-day colleague experience
  • Support senior leaders within the talent management framework through facilitated discussions to find, support and retain their teams to deliver business growth
  • Collaboratively work with colleagues, and cross function teams to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Deliver Diversity and Inclusion interventions to raise awareness, encourage open and honest conversations and allow our people to be themselves at work
  • Responsible for actively participating in the performance development process to ensure knowledge and skills remain current and relevant for role whilst continuing to develop own and teams\' talents and strengths and address any areas of self-development.
The person:
  • Degree educated, or equivalent
  • MSc in HR or CIPD qualified (minimum of level 7)
  • Experienced & credible HR expert with previous experience ideally in a credible, fast paced large organisation
  • Previous ownership of the people agenda for the Finance and or IT Support Functions
  • Experience in partnering with senior leadership teams as a trusted expert
  • Ability to plan and prioritise, adapting at pace to rapid business change
  • Proven ability to make quick, sound decisions based on knowledge and judgment understanding what\'s not important whilst maintaining focus on our strategic people agenda
  • High level of written and verbal communication incorporating communication and presentation skills to facilitate projects and initiatives
  • Excellent relationship building and communication, with the ability to move between listening to, guiding and coaching others at all levels
  • Ability to question, confidently challenge, and influence to achieve best results
  • Ability to spot opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better results
  • Confidence to challenge leaders to make better sound business decisions with regards to people matters
  • Self-motivated with proactive approach, able to build and maintain good collaborative and trusted internal and external relationships
  • Good level of commercial awareness & understanding of external factors influencing our business
  • Knowledge of relevant employment law
  • Strong personal values and high levels of integrity
  • Experience dealing with change initiatives and contributing to wider change projects
