Our HR&D team is made up several teams that work together to support Weightmans' people issues and processes, including business support; employee relations; learning & development; payroll & benefits; and recruitment.
We are recruiting for a HR Coordinator to join our team in Liverpool.
Whilst this is advertised as a full-time role we can consider applicants on a part time basis of 4 days.
As a HR Coordinator you will provide administrative and project support to the HR Service team as well as:
Manage pay and contractual changes including pay and amendments to contracts of employment
Respond to and processing flexible working requests
Manage the maternity and paternity process ensuring records are up to date, calculate employees' entitlement to maternity pay/leave in accordance with the relevant legislation and Firm's policy
Maintains current and accurate information within the HR System
Calculate holiday entitlement and update records accordingly
Record sickness absence and report to the relevant line manager
Undertake research projects, as requested Handling queries and confidential matters that come into the HR mailbox HR (which can be in person, by phone or e-mail) and respond in accordance with the SLA'
Process leavers and recalculating final benefits and holidays
Working knowledge of GDPR rules and implications is required
Experience of using Cascade HR IT system would be advantageous but not essential
Proficient in Microsoft packages including excel is required

About You
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a similar role and in a similar environment.
As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have the following : - Excellent communication skills
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Familiar with (or able to develop proficiency in) HR systems in particular cascade
Clear understanding of HR processes
Ability to manage and prioritise a complex workload to ensure strict deadlines are met
Close attention to detail
Data Protection (GDPR) basis principles
