Join a Leading Cultural Organisation as an HR Operations Manager
We're hiring for a skilled HR Operations Manager to join one of the UK's most respected heritage and cultural institutions on a 13-month maternity cover contract.
As a key part of the People & Culture team, you'll drive operational excellence across HR services, payroll, benefits, and digital systems -- playing a vital role in creating a "fantastic place to work."
What You'll Be Doing:
Oversee payroll and benefits operations, including managing external providers
Lead on iTrent system administration and drive improvements in HR processes
Collaborate with HR Business Partners to align operations with strategic people goals
Improve employee lifecycle processes and user experience
Monitor HR projects and provide regular KPI and management reporting
Ensure compliance with GDPR, HMRC, Pensions Regulator, and other bodies
Manage a small HR operations team focused on systems, payroll, and benefits
What You'll Need:
CIPD or CIPP qualification (or equivalent)
Strong, hands-on experience with iTrent HR and Payroll system
Working knowledge of in-house and outsourced payroll processes
Proven ability to lead projects and improve systems and data accuracy
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
A track record of agile, adaptable working within a fast-moving HR environment
Nice to Have:
Experience working across multi-site organisations
Familiarity with not-for-profit or public sector settings
Start Date: December 2025

Pay: 50,000.00-55,000.00 per year
