Job description


As our HR Resourcing Advisor you will work with our business and vacancy holders to provide support and guidance for all resourcing needs. Working closely with your HRBP, you will become the point of contact for your for specific directorates of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, building relationships with the business and promoting engagement to ensure that all resourcing activities remain compliant. You will work alongside the other members of the resourcing team to help provide team resilience and ensure that vacancies are compliant and run smoothly.

As part of the role you will be responsible for managing and leading the HR Resourcing Assistant, where you will guide and mentor them to provide an excellent service to our stakeholders.

With a focus on inclusion, improving diversity and a great candidate journey, you would be expected to continuously develop your skills and knowledge to enable the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) to be at the forefront of candidate attraction.

The role may require travel to other MCA locations to attend interviews and meetings, this may require overnight stays.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing guidance and support on all aspects of resourcing.
  • Ensuring that all resourcing services provided across the MCA are consistent and in line with team strategic goals.
  • Create and deliver training on all aspects of resourcing as required by the business.
  • Attend training, webinars and connect with industry peers to learn and share best practice.
  • Meeting and liaising regularly with internal and external stakeholders whilst maintaining strong relationships.
  • Work closely with the MCA Marketing Executives, to design and review content for MCA social media plans regarding recruitment.

MCA supports flexible working and operates a hybrid working model between home and office for this role, giving you greater flexibility over where and when you work. Details of the arrangement will be discussed further with your line manager.

About you You will have demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced environment, providing advice and delivering a high-quality service in a HR, recruitment, account management or equivalent environment. You will need previous experience in guiding and advising internal and external stakeholders, promoting engagement and building effective working relationships. We will look to you to be a point of contact so excellent communication skills are key. You will be well organised with the ability to effectively manage shifting priorities. Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneNote and Forms is a requirement.
